Quickleen NZ is a family owned, family run business based in New Zealand that came onto the scene in 2015 as distributors for OPM Quickleen, selling Quickleen-S and Quickleen-R, gentle cleaning alternatives that delivered real results.
While the products live up to their reputation and are everything they’re said to be, the business practices of OPM Quickleen are not.
In July 2015, Quickleen NZ started legal action against OPM Quickleen (AKA Quickleen International) and owner, Richard Matusik, for what we allege to be false and misleading information provided to us in the Information Memorandum used to buy the distributorship. The case was finally heard in August 2018 after Matusik had delayed several previous scheduled hearings. The full legal details can be found on the County Court Victoria case database.
In summary, OPM Quickleen and Richard Matusik were found guilty of deliberately providing false and misleading information regarding the sales achieved by Quickleen distributors and ordered to repay us in full for original purchase of the license and stock ($389,400) and to pay $225,000 for our legal costs. As at December 2020 these payments have not been received and OPM Quickleen has been liquidated. Matusik was forced into personal bankruptcy, the period of which has been extended by AFSA until November 2027 (5 year extension to the normal 3 year period) due to his failure to co-operate.
We strongly advise anyone seeking to become involved with either party to seek legal advice. We now have a long list of people who are willing to share with you their far from satisfactory business experiences with Matusik. He is being sued by two other distributers through the Federal Court in Sydney for Unconscionable Conduct and Misleading or Deceptive Conduct. He is completely dishonest and anything he says should be treated as a lie unless independently verified by an unbiased third party.
